75th Indian Dj'ing Gig, 1st Time in Seattle Though.
Over the last couple of months, I have been putting my name out there via google, yelp, facebook, and regular fliers at local Indian stores as the
This lead to some calls for potential gigs but I had to turn all of them down due to traveling. However, I finally found a potential customer who wanted me to Dj on a day that I was actually in town for. They found my website via google and they listened to my mix. Everything worked the way I was hoping for. This started the snow ball effect and now I have done several events in Seattle. My site traffic has improved, my presence on Yelp and Google has gone up and I have some very solid testimonials.
Now back to the party: It was a 25th Anniversary Party on June 30th and the event itself was nestled in a small ballroom in this a nice little hotel in Bellevue, WA. The crowd of about 75 people consisted of close family and relatives, many of whom came all the way from Chicago.

Throughout the night there were a lot of games, speeches, and family dances. When it comes to these Indian events, I have seen it all. However, there was a first that night.
They had a "Sari Tying Competiton" among all the uncles and the fastest to tie was the winner. It was probably one of the funnier events I have ever seen at a gig and I am going to recommend this game to others in the future.
Overall, the event was great and I am thankful for the opportunity. I hope the "Snow Ball / Word of Mouth " effect takes over and this leads to the next event and the next event!
